There is so much beauty in everyday life that we forget to even notice. I paint not only to capture that beauty, but also to keep my eyes attuned to those tiny, seemingly insignificant details. I hope that my art will inspire others to look at their surroundings in a different way.

Erin Hardin was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and has lived in the Birmingham area since 1999. She holds a masters degree in counseling and spent several years working with children with autism. She began formal art training under DoriDeCamillis of Red Dot Gallery in Birmingham, AL in 2008 and developed a passion for oil paints. In addition to painting, Erin also volunteers and teaches art classes for children and adults with disabilities and terminal illnesses through VSA Alabama. She feels that her many years working with autism has enabled her to see the world in a different way and credits that point of view with her interest in capturing the seemingly insignificant details of everyday life. She lives in the Birmingham area with her husband, daughter, and three dogs.
